We are thrilled to share the news that Villa Sandi Prosecco DOCG Cartizze La Rivetta has been awarded the Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) award by the editors of the Gambero Rosso Guide to the Wines of Italy for the tenth year in a row.
First published in the 1980s, the Gambero Rosso guide is Italy’s leading resource for wine reviews. Its “Tre Bicchieri” or three glasses ranking is based on a very simple concept: If you like a wine, you’ll enjoy a glass of it; if you really like it, you’ll have two glasses; and if you really love it you’ll have three glasses and finish the bottle (a bottle of wine has six glasses in it and since you always drink wine with at least one person, together, you’ll drink six glasses, three each).
The fact that the Villa Sandi Prosecco DOCG Cartizze La Rivetta has won this prestigious and coveted award for 10 years in a row is testament to Villa Sandi’s commitment to quality. It’s also a reflection of what a special growing site La Rivetta is — a top cru within the most coveted growing area for Prosecco DOCG (Cartizze).
You’ll be able to taste Villa Sandi Prosecco DOCG Cartizze La Rivetta next spring at the Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri tastings in the U.S. Stay tuned for dates. We hope to see you there!
