We couldn’t be more pleased to share the news that Villa Sandi Prosecco Il Fresco was awarded the Gold Medal at the recent Prosecco Masters tasting organized by editors of the Drinks Business, one of the wine world’s leading online magazines.
In a post published last week, the editors shared their Top 10 picks “from this year’s largest blind tasting of this popular Italian fizz – The Prosecco Masters – taking in a range of styles and prices…”
The selection “represents some of the most exciting finds from the competition, which comprised around 200 Proseccos, all of which were assessed without any knowledge of the producer behind them.”
The Villa Sandi Prosecco Il Fresco showed notes of “elderflower, pear and zesty grapefruit, and a mouth-filling richness,” they write, awarding the wine the Gold Medal and including it in their Top 10 picks.
Last week’s post was just a preview. Later this month, they will be publishing notes for the roughly 200 wines the judges tasted for the competition.
